A watercolor photorealistic  painting of Lord Buddha.

Photorealism is a genre of art that encompasses painting, drawing and other graphic media, in which an artist studies a photograph and then attempts to reproduce the image as realistically as possible in another medium.

Thais painting is composed using several layers of watercolor to make it look photorealistic.

The title  of painting" TATHAGAT" often thought to mean either "one who has thus gone" (tathā-gata), "one who has thus come" (tathā-āgata), or sometimes "one who has thus not gone" (tathā-agata). This is interpreted as signifying that the Tathāgata is beyond all coming and going – beyond all transitory phenomena.

It took me around 60-65 hours to complete this artwork.

It was challenging artwork. I am happy  and satisfied with the outcome.

Hope you love it too.

Best suited for home, art studios, hotels, restaurants, schools, resorts, office cubicles, drawing rooms , hospitals, hallways dining areas, waiting lounges as wall art or wall decor.
